Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
Yes, I'm a big Pink Floyd fan. So what's the point of this one? Well... I've noticed that I've got 73 followers, today. 73! My Google map has stopped working, as I think there are too many visitors to be displayed, now. And yet... most of the comments I get are about the captions, but not the posts.
Okay, I love getting comments. Please keep making them. But it's only rare that I get a comment to do with the blog. Do I come across as a Preacher? - So you just don't say, "That was from John 1:19, not the other place. Go read it again." I know this is my rant/therapy medium, but you can add your 2c, too. If it's that bad I'll just delete it! :-))
I think it's the greatest flaw, in man, that we can't actually feel one another's pain. (For a start there would be a lot less war, if we could.) But on the rare occasion I do touch a subject that is close to your heart, please add a comment.
Time for more Pink Floyd, I feel:
Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught
Or half a page of scibbled lines
Now that I've completely depressed you, how about some nice captions?

P.S. My thanks to Roger, David & the boys for all the great music over the years, especially including the ones quoted above.
I guess most of your op ed posts are self-evidently correct, so hard to engage with.
ReplyDeleteHow about adding like/dislike buttons.
(And anyway, how often do you comment on other people's blogs?)
Giles,
ReplyDeleteThank you. I didn't know I was master of the axiom. Maybe I should start to state the end question rather than imply it. I suppose we could all use some ESP lessons? :-))
Not sure how to add buttons? Maybe just the end question would do?
Last question is very pertinent. My answer must be: not very often. But I will defend that with - I do if the matter is close to my heart, and I feel I have something to add. Which I suppose brings us full circle, back to my axioms?
Thank you for your insights, Giles. I appreciate them.

ReplyDeleteVery easy.
Generally, people don't comment on erotic blogs - perhaps because it's hard to type with one hand...
For me it's partly because the blog comes across as a thought, interesting but not requiring an answer. Also because I found the blog as a caption blog, and in my mind in still view it in that light despite the fact that I enjoy the writing too. Slow to change my ways :)
ReplyDeleteI second what giles said, comments aren't common anyway.
I like both pics and writing.
M
i like rants :D and PF :D
ReplyDeleteGiles,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link. Easy! Now I know it's there, I won't get around to playing with it for ages! Typical!! :-))
MyKey,
Spot on, really. To me blogs are thinking out loud. Perhaps I'm having a mad moment, wishing there were other voices in my head, not just the one?
Thanks for the 2c
ben63376,
You'll have to humour the old fogie. I hate cell phones, so have never written a txt in my life. 'PF'?
Not as quick as those of you in the PUMA movement. (Please Use More Acronnyms.)
Thanks for the vote for rants, though.
Thanks guys
