One Copy Up

For those who have a blog, they will already have one of these:

Dear Blogger User,

We're writing to tell you about an upcoming change to the Blogger Content  Policy that may affect your account.

In the coming weeks, we'll no longer allow blogs that contain sexually  explicit or graphic nude images or video. We'll still allow nudity  presented in artistic, educational, documentary or scientific contexts, or  where there are other substantial benefits to the public from not taking  action on the content.

The new policy will take effect on 23 March 2015. After this policy comes  into force, Google will restrict access to any blog identified as being in  violation of our revised policy. No content will be deleted, but only blog  authors and those with whom they have expressly shared the blog will be  able to see the content that we've made private.

Our records indicate that your account may be affected by this policy  change. Please refrain from creating new content that would violate this  policy. We would also ask you to make any necessary changes to your  existing blog to comply as soon as possible so that you won't experience  any interruptions in service. You may also choose to create an archive of  your content via Google Takeout
(https://www.google.com/settings/takeout/custom/blogger).

For more information, please look here
(https://support.google.com/blogger?p=policy_update).

Yours sincerely,
The Blogger Team

My responce?:
ptathukb - This is a copy of this Blogger blog, all six years worth. (Don't forget to Bookmark it, as this page will be gone in about a month.)

I'm in the process of building a new blog, with all the things I follow, etc. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for keeping on, your blog is one of my favorites, it'd be greatly missed if you simply shut it down.

And also, if I may say, fuck Google.

abbywall,

Thank you for your encouragement.

Perhaps it's time to change search engines, also? It's the only way to hit their ad revenue.

I’ve been using DuckDuckGo, actually. It's not bad, and there are easy ways to re-do the search when DDG's results are lacking.

Been migrating from Google services as much as possible these days.

However, It sounds as if Google has reversed this decision.

icewolf from icewolf chastity blog here ... abbywall, what evidence do you have that the decision has been reversed? I have not heard anything except the initial adverse decision.

Tom, thanks for posting that info. Ptathuk, thanks for continuing to do a great job. (Sigh of relief, fingers crossed.)

So, ...

icewolf,

Got the e-mail you saw on the post. ptathukb.wordpress.com up and almost configured. Just trying to figure out how to include 'Places I Like', then I'm there.

Tom,

Thank you. I saw the news of the backpeddle on your Blog, but have yet to receive the apology e-mail from goggle. Don't worry, I'm not going to turn blue while waiting! :))

Throne,

You are very welcome. Glad you like my therapy! The result is I now have a back up on-line. So it stays up, until well past the end of the month. Then... it stays up.

Everyone,

I've worked around too many large companies to think that this is the end of the matter. The only constant is change.

I will post on both here AND ptathuk.wordpress.com.

tumblr I just don't seem to be able to get on with. I can only see my blog, after I log in. Other blogs I can see fine. So, I can't test my blog from a user perspective. Can't be bothered to figure out why.
